Zakopane is a stunning town in Poland’s beautiful Tatra mountains. This charming trip is a relaxing day’s break from the hustle and bustle of Krakow.

Located 2 hours south of Krakow, Zakopane is lined with quaint houses with thatched roofs, local cuisine and culture, and beautiful views at every turn.

Starting from Krakow, on this 11-hour day trip you’ll get to enjoy some of the best views in Zakopane with an included funicular cable car ride up the mountainside where you can marvel at the spectacular views with a breathtaking panorama of the Tatra Mountains.

You will also visit Krupówki, the most popular street in the heart of Zakopane, where you can experience the ambience of the mountain region and enjoy the aromas of local foods from traditional restaurants.

During this time you will try some famous regional cheese “Oscypek” and enjoy some traditional Polish vodka.

After your tour of Zakopane, there is also the option to take a break for some rest and relaxation at the famed thermal baths. Enjoy outdoor and indoor swimming pools with steamy warm water, waterslides, whirlpool baths and many other attractions, in the heart of the mountains.

  • Gubałówka Hill Funicular – The tour starts off with Funicular(cable car) ride up the Gubałówka mountain, when reaching the peak you will experience the breathtaking panoramic views of the Tatra Mountains.
  • Visiting Krupówki – You will explore the old-school local village and Krupowki Street, filled with restaurants, local stores and regional goods, as well as gift shops. Following lunch you will head back to Krakow, passing the breathing scenery on the journey home.
  • Tasting the highlander cheese and regional alcohol – Enjoy some traditional local cheese and vodka.
