Auschwitz concentration camp and Wieliczka Salt Mines
City tours Krakow are great when it comes to the city centre, but what about further afield? There are many great tourist attractions to visit just outside of Krakow. In fact there are two UNESCO world heritage sights to be found within a couple of hours of Krakow centre, these being the Wieliczka Salt Mines and Auschwitz concentration camp. Both of these can be easily reached from Krakow itself. Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains
Maybe you would like to take a day trip to the beautiful Tatra mountains to see some of Poland’s most spectacular natural scenery. The quaint mountain town of Zakopane is a popular resort with Polish and international tourists alike, and is only a 2 hour drive from Krakow. Day trips to Zakopane from Krakow include transportation, a mountain top ride on the funicular railway to see the view, sightseeing and sampling of some local delicacies.
